Impedance is the total opposition a cable offers to alternating current. It includes both resistance and reactance and is generally expressed in Ohms.
Located in the Belden catalog and on our Web Page, the impedance of various cables are listed. You will find the impedance under a column in the data of the cable, or in a box with other information on that cable type. If the cable is intended for very low frequencies (such as analog audio, control, power, etc.) then impedances are not listed. These may be obtained by contacting one of our Customer Service Staff.
