Marker Tape

Marker Tape Defined
A marker tape is a paper tape pulled in under the "transparent" jacket of a cable. typically used in plenum rated cables, it provides the needed cable markings when they are unable to be printed on the jacket itself (such as FEP jackets).

Removing Marker Tape
It is possible to remove a marker tape. New technologies allow for printing on some jackets where it was not possible before. Contact our Belden Customer Service Department to discuss options.
