SVT cordage is intended for vacuum cleaners while SJT cordage is intended for a broader range of applications requiring "hard service". SJT requires twice the insulation thickness of SVT cordage. SJT can also be produced in AWG sizes from10 to 18 while SVT is limited to 17 and 18 AWG only.
