FAQs

The initial purpose of Fusion was to identify those customers that would benefit from a more unified Belden approach. Now, as we ready for launch it represents:

  • Customer focus and global account management
  • A powerful combination of collaboration between platforms, businesses and regions
  • Global and regional account teams and market-specific organizations

Fusion represents a significant share capture opportunity for Belden delivered by collaboration across all of our platforms, businesses and regions. It will differentiate our value proposition against our peer companies within the respective platforms.

There are six customers in the program. New customers and existing customers will be evaluated regularly. The six customers are:

  • ABB
  • Comcast
  • General Electric
  • Schneider Electric
  • Rockwell Automation
  • The Walt Disney Company

Over 300 customers were nominated by the platforms and evaluated based on where we believed we could add the most value. We considered things like global presence, business and strategic fit and willingness to partner, among others.

It provides tremendous value to the customers who participate in this program. It allows Belden to provide solutions that create an impact by combining the knowledge and relationships that we have across multiple industries to best fit each customer’s needs. It’s bringing One Belden to our customers. By providing all of our technology and services with worldwide implementation and support, we will build strategic long-term relationships based on the customer’s strategic concerns and opportunities.

Chris Williams will lead the program as VP, Global Accounts. Chris reports to Paul Turner as SVP Sales. Paul reports to John Stroup. It is important to note that Fusion is platform agnostic and accountable to the entire organization.

No, the Fusion team is complementary and represents an incremental investment in our customer relationships. The Fusion global account director will lead a Virtual Account Team comprised of existing forms of account management across Belden.

No. You will continue to support your Fusion customer(s). The global account director will contact you for participation in the Virtual Account Team at the appropriate time.

No, the global account director is the leader of the global account and the team members support the Global Account Team in accordance with the account business plan. Members of the Global Account Teams continue to report to their original platforms.

Six (one per customer) global account directors will be added for the launch. We anticipate these roles will be located in proximity to the customer’s headquarters.

The Fusion global account director roles are very unique and therefore require a very specific skillset, experience and mindset. We are looking for candidates who are strategic, resilient and authentic who approach this position with holistic solutions and the ability to influence and inspire teams. The positions offer professional and personal growth for qualified candidates. Select candidates may come from positions across Belden, not necessarily just sales. The roles offer broad exposure to Belden senior leadership and the industry.
