The employees of Belden Brazil once again demonstrated their generosity with a special event called Belden Social Day 2018.

With the pride that comes from belonging to a Company that cares about communities, a team of 80 Belden Brazil employees managed to collect more than 7,600 hundred food and personal hygiene items for donation to the Casa dos Velhinhos Dona Adelaide (CVDA), a non-profit organization that works with elderly people in need.

In order to collect that truckload of supplies, eight employee teams were created to bring in the donations. The teams brought together employees from different administrative areas, which promoted the teamwork and engagement necessary for a successful campaign.

The Social Day event began with a theatrical presentation about "motivation," which dovetailed nicely into a discussion of the empathy needed to succeed in a charitable campaign. Three representatives of CVDA also shared stories of their work with the seniors under their care and then showed a video about the organization. The CVDA workers were given flowers and a card signed by the team right before the Belden teams rolled up their sleeves and loaded the truck.

Many Belden employees have visited the CVDA to spend time with the elderly who are cared for there. Social Day 2018 was emotion-filled and will be remembered by all who participated. In fact, most of the employees who participated are already looking forward to the impact they can have during Belden Social Day 2019.
