For the second year in a row, Belden has been named a finalist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Corporate Citizenship Awards, Best Community Improvement Program in recognition of the Pathways to Employment Program.
Pathways to Employment is a community-based solution blending drug rehabilitation with the promise of employment for workers willing to lead drug-free lives. Last year when launching the program, we worked with local partners to address the challenge of addiction in our community of Richmond, Indiana. Our intent was always to share our learnings in hopes that other organizations will develop similar programs. This year, we put our money where our mouth was – bringing the Belden Blueprint to industry conferences, policymakers, media and other communities.
In their 20th year, the Citizens Awards showcase how businesses make the world a better place by honoring the ways the private sector solve today’s greatest challenges through innovation, expertise, efficiency, capital and collaboration.
The winners of the 2019 Citizens Awards will be announced on November 14 at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
