The Belden Workforce Training Program in Richmond, Indiana, provides specialized training for high school students. The goal of the program is to recruit and prepare the next generation of the workforce for careers at our Richmond plant.

Two senior interns graduated from the program and will begin full-time positions within Belden. Eleven high school juniors will continue for the second year of the program.

The program is a partnership between Belden, the Ivy Tech Foundation and Richmond High School.

While in the program, juniors and first semester seniors attend Ivy Tech Community College classes, where they learn manufacturing concepts and processes. During their final semester of school, seniors are offered a paid internship to work at our facility and receive hands-on training. Following completion of the training program and their high school graduation, students are prepared for full-time positions with Belden.
