Since 1969, the Joseph C. Belden Foundation has awarded annual scholarships to children of Belden employees in Richmond or Indianapolis, Indiana. The scholarship provides funding for tuition and books each year of a student’s four-year college education.

The Joseph C. Belden Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3), qualifying as a non-profit organization. To date, the Foundation has awarded scholarships to 368 children of Belden employees.

This year’s winner was Seth Morris, son of Shane Morris, a cell cabler operator at the Richmond Plant. Seth is studying engineering at Purdue University. After graduation, he hopes to maintain a steady, unique engineering job in a relatively big city that gives him the chance to improve our society, advanced technology andmake the world a better place.

“I would like to thank everyone involved in making this scholarship available to me, especially the Joseph C. Belden Foundation. I will be eternally grateful to have been given such a prestigious award. I will do mybest to utilize this contribution by exceeding expectations in all of my educational endeavors,” said Seth.
