Today, enterprise LANs bring all kinds of traditionally separate, standalone systems together under one network. For this reason, the number of devices connected to LANs now outnumbers the number of people connected to LANs. Mobile/wireless connections now outpace the number of fixed LAN connections, which has also transformed enterprise networks. PoE (Power over Ethernet) connections are increasing as well: IP surveillance cameras, wireless access points (WAPs) and IP phones all make use of PoE, further accelerating this network transformation. There's literally a new type of enterprise LAN on the rise. With this new LAN comes new requirements and challenges in deploying the appropriate cabling infrastructure.
In this webinar, we will cover LAN application and technology trends, cabling performance considerations and, finally, new deployment strategies for current and future enterprise LAN needs.
