He is Vice-Chair of the ODVA EtherNet/IP Physical Layer Special Interest Group, and represents Belden in the TIA TR-42.9 Industrial Telecommunications Infrastructure subcommittee. In addition, Shuman is a Registered Communication Distribution Designer through BICSI and a member of IEEE. He earned his B.S.E.E. from Purdue University.
