CT2 - Industrial Networking

This course builds on experience gained from Industrial Ethernet (CT1), providing network experts with intense theoretical and practical knowledge about TCP/IP communication and multicasting. Special emphasis is placed on deploying TCP/IP and multicasting in complex industrial environments.

Who Should Attend

System Engineers, Network Designers and Support Technicians who are building, supporting or migrating an Industrial Ethernet network.


Previous attendance of CT1 course OR passing grade on HiES exam is required. The participant should bring a laptop with Ethernet connection.


This course prepares the attendee for the HiNP: Hirschmann Industrial Network Professional certification, which is valid for two years. The exam is included as part of the course, however the course is not required to take the exam and become certified. The cost to take the exam only is $100 – click here for further instructions.


  • Effective July 21, 2017, BICSI recognizes Industrial Networking Technology (CT2) training for 21 BICSI CECs.
  • Industrial Networking Technology (CT2) is recognized by NAED for 2.2 CEUs (22 hours).
