In combined classroom and hands-on format, participants learn about wireless standards, technologies, and design considerations, along with details on the installation and use of BAT devices. Each student receives a lab kit to take home (Wireless Access Point, power supply and cables valued at $1800+).
Experienced System Engineers, Network Designers and Support Technicians who are building, looking to build, and/or are supporting an Industrial Wireless LAN.
Working knowledge of Ethernet networking fundamentals and basic knowledge of Wireless LAN technology is required. Participants should bring a laptop with Ethernet and wireless connections, a WLAN interface and an operating system CD. Administrator rights are required.
This course prepares the attendee for the HiWP: Hirschmann Industrial Wireless Professional certification, which is valid for one year. The exam is included as part of the course, however the course is not required to take the exam and become certified. The cost to take the exam only is $100 – click here for further instructions.
