To successfully operate as the Technical & Application expert during all pre-sales activities with identified target customers or markets within a defined geographical region, ensuring the Sales team achieves profitable business growth with existing accounts and new business by delivering customer orientated solutions.
Ensure timely and effective support is provided to the Sales team during all pre-sales activities in alignment with the achievement of company sales targets
Provide Technical expertise to the Sales team during qualification and while verifying the needs of the customer
Identify, define and document customer issues that will drive the development of a Belden solution for the customer. This could include specifying intelligence gained from engagements with the customer to support commercial business cases.
Identify, design and document solution designs that meet the customer’s expectations, and be able to proactively demonstrate the relevance of the recommended solution to the customer.
Provide guidance to Service teams during any project hand-off phase to ensure customer expectations are met.
Provide timely input into the creation of training materials to ensure high quality knowledge transfer, ensuring content reflects a high level of customer voice.
Deliver training to the customer based on Belden solutions at field technical and engineering levels.
Develop and deliver technical proposal presentations to customers.
Plan, organize and implement proof of concept installations or demonstrations.
In cooperation with Sales, facilitate and document Field Trials of Belden’s products in the customer’s facility. Including documenting current state, identification of issues and provision of input to a business case for change.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key Technical Influences and Decision Makers at the customers, both current customers and target customers and their value chains.
Proactively maintain Technical and Application knowledge of Belden’s product portfolio, keeping abreast of new technology advances in the defined market(s)
