Hirschmann Automation and Control, a Belden brand, has been recognized as one of the most innovative companies in Germany for the third consecutive year. The company will be honored at the TOP 100 Award ceremony held in Weimar on June 28, 2024. For 30 years, the TOP 100 seal has been the only independent award for innovation management in Germany.

Hirschmann has been competing for a while now in the Top 100 German innovation contest. “When we started competing, I was hoping to get an award maybe in one year out of three. Now we have been ranked among the top innovators for three years in a row and it is a remarkable achievement,” said Chief Technology Officer and Vice President Technology - Industrial Automation, Dr. Oliver Kleineberg. Belden is represented by the Hirschmann Automation and Control legal entity as a locally known brand. “Effectively, this is an award for the global Belden (IAS) organization, as we compete with products and processes (both are equally important) that have global scope. It is not easy to get in, and we're competing with not only automation companies but the entire German industry,” said Kleineberg.

Belden’s Hirschmann brand, based in Neckartenzlingen, Germany, is one of the world's leading suppliers of automation and network technology. Hirschmann products are built precisely for demanding industrial environments.

To ensure equal opportunities, the TOP 100 seal is awarded in three size categories: up to 50, 51 to 200 and more than 200 employees. In this, the 31st edition of the innovation competition, 388 SMEs applied for the award. 287 were successful and have carried the TOP 100 seal since February 1, 2024. A maximum of 100 companies per size category can be awarded. In June, all of the top innovators of the year will gather at the "congress centrum weimarhalle" for the award ceremony as part of the German SME Summit where science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar will personally congratulate them on their success.

Congratulations to all Belden employees who contributed. Well done!
