The Cabling Installation & Maintenance 2019 Innovators Awards program reviews and recognizes the most innovative applications of cabling and communications technology products and systems within the structured cabling industry. Platinum, Gold and Silver Honorees were honored at BICSI’s 2019 Fall Conference on Oct. 1, 2019.

A winner in the Cabling Media category, Belden’s Digital Electricity Cables transmit up to 20 times more power or 20 times more distance than PoE: up to 2,000W or up to 2 km reach in indoor and outdoor applications. The cable’s electrical characteristics are specifically designed to safely carry Digital Electricity.

A winner in the Connection & Cross Connection Devices category, Belden’s plenum-rated REVConnect FlexPlugs support high-performance, direct connections to IoT devices while addressing typical concerns associated with traditional field-terminated plugs.

A winner in the Applications and Case Studies category, Belden provided fiber and copper cabling and connectivity – as well as 4K UHD Media Cable – to support the Atlanta Braves’ goal of offering the best wireless experience in any North American venue in its new SunTrust Park.

A winner in the Connection & Cross Connection Devices category, the 10GX REVConnect Wall-Mount Cross Connect lets end-users take advantage of free real estate inside the telecommunications room – the walls – to install passive connectivity and reduce the number of racks needed. The system is one of the only Category 6A wall-mount cross connects available.

A winner in the Distribution and Routing Equipment category, Belden’s soon to be launched DCX System provides a high-density, high-fiber-count management system for large optical distribution frames. It provides cable interconnections to integrate fiber splicing, fiber termination, fiber optic adapters and connectors and cable connections in a single unit to support the increasing use of fiber.

Lastly, a winner in the Cabling Media category, Belden’s REVConnect Connectivity System is a game-changing connectivity system that supports quick and easy terminations across many applications. The entire system utilizes a single termination method featuring a universal “core” for all Category 5e, 6 and 6A RJ45 connections. One termination method is used for each component in the system: couplers, plugs, patch panels, etc.
