Belden’s brand, PPC Broadband Fiber offers an exciting Engineering Technician (Mechatronics Maintenance Technician) apprenticeship based in Suffolk.

 

This apprenticeship will provide you with an unique combination of on-the-job training and college classes on a weekly basis.

 

To apply for this apprenticeship, there is a minimum requirement of Maths, English and Science GCSE grade C/4 or above.  It is open to anyone aged 16 years and above.


 

Duration: 4 years


Apprenticeship content

  • Gain understanding of type of equipment being maintained
  • Carry out planned maintenance activities of factory equipment using mathematical techniques
  • Read and interpret relevant data and documentation used to maintain components, equipment and systems in a mechatronics maintenance environment 


Type of qualification: Apprenticeship Level 3


Vocational school:

  • Norwich City College
  • Flexibility depending on which colleges offer the same or similar qualifications in the local area


Employment opportunities:
