DAP800 Industrial Wi-Fi 6 Access Points & Managed Switch
Train-to-ground wireless demands reliability at every trackside location. The Hirschmann IT DAP800 family delivers it with industrial Wi-Fi 6 access points built for rail, automation, and harsh outdoor environments. The DAP849 consolidates access point, managed switch, fiber optic uplinks, and direct AC power in one IP67 enclosure, replacing up to four separate trackside components. The DAP847 serves as access point and onboard client for PoE and DC-powered sites. Both models support 802.11k/v/r and fast roaming at speeds around 100 km/h and are managed through Belden Wireless Orchestration.

- DAP849: IP67 die-cast enclosure with conformal coating, rated from -40° C to +70° C, certified to EN 50121-4 and EN 45545-2
- DAP849 integrates managed Layer 2 switching functionalities with fiber or ethernet ring support (MRP, RSTP, ERPS) for built-in network redundancy
- DAP847 available as access point or client (DAP847-C) with PoE and DC power options for trackside, depot, and on-board roles
