About this Course

In this webinar, we will review the wide range of standards currently under development from associations such as IEEE, TIA and ITU. As we explore new standards and revisions, as well as what’s coming down the road, we’ll explain how these standards may impact cabling and connectivity design and installation.

This webinar will also explore how the telecommunications industry is adapting to and leading change in an increasingly connected, IoT-based world. Because the demands of M2M (machine to machine) networks are far different from P2P (peer to peer) networks, our network design principles have to change. Learn, from a standards perspective, how standards are constantly evolving to keep up with this change and ensure that our networks can support increasing numbers of connected devices.

After attending this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  1. Explain current IEEE and TIA standards and what they impact.
  2. Describe upcoming IEEE and TIA standards, and why these standards are being considered.
  3. Understand how network design principles are changing to support IoT and M2M communication
