XTran - 4-10G-LW (XT-2215-A)

Tthe 4-10G-LW interface module (=IFM) supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet according to the IEEE 802.3ae-2002 standard. This standard specifies full duplex point-to-point links. This module provides four 10 Gbps optical LAN/WAN ports on the front panel (LAN = Local Area Network; WAN = Wide Area Network). 4-10G-LW refers to ‘4 ports – 10 Gigabit via XFP – LAN WAN’. These ports are configurable as LAN or WAN (=default) via TXCare (=XTran Management System). These IFMs can only be used in core nodes.
